Chief of Army Staff

General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, ndc, psc was born on 01 December 1958 in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh. The General was commissioned on 18 June 1978 in Armoured Corps from Bangladesh Military Academy. He has taken over the Command of Bangladesh Army as Chief of Army Staff on 25 June 2015.

Area

Area from Habiganj District on the north to Kanaighat Police Station on the south along the 100 mile long border with India. The headquarters of the sector was initially at Karimganj and later at Masimpur.
