Besides the disaster management and nation building activities mentioned above,Bangladesh Army is also called in to assist various government/semi government/autonomous bodies. Notable assistance offered to different bodies/organizations includes assistance to Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) in distribution of water, security to Power Stations,security to Sea Port, and necessary assistance i. e. construction of pontoon bridge on Turag River during Bishwa Estema and assist Election Commission (EC)to hold free and fair election across the country. Engagement of the Army includes security assistance during Pourashava Election 2011, necessary assistance during ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, security assistance at Sirajgonj Hard Point, recovery of ancient boat at Kuakata, infrastructure development related to ICC T20 World Cup 2014, security assistance during NPE and UZ Election 2014
