1. Location ofthe Project. Gazipur, Mymensingh.

2. Objectives of the Project. The main objective of the project is toimprove (widen and strengthen) about 87.18 km National Highways of existingroad link in order to

(a) Enhancethe road connectivity of Northern regionespecially greater Mymensingh area with the capitaland other part of the country.

(b) Promote inter-district trade facilities in Bangladesh.

(c) Develop the industrialization in Northernpart of Bangladesh.

(d) Enhance the socio-economic development of the Northern part of the country.

(e) Improve road safety in the Road Network.

This project will include improvement ofJoydebpur-Mymensingh road (87.18km).
